Our Story
The journey of The Giftens Church is a testament to unwavering faith and divine guidance, rooted in a divine mandate given to Pastor Obinna Michael. This powerful calling spurred him to begin full-time ministry in 2007.
Four years later, after the ministry moved to AMC, Lagos, Pastor Obinna made a profound decision to fully dedicate himself to God's work. From this pivotal moment of resolve, The Giftens Church was born, driven by a clear mission: to raise a people for God who will carry Jesus into the world and manifest Him everywhere.
The ministry flourished at AMC for five years, experiencing rapid growth before relocating to the Beverly Event Centre in Gbagada, Lagos. It was at Beverly that the first set of pastors of The Giftens Church were ordained. After four impactful years there, the Lord led the church to its own permanent home, and in 2019, The Gifted House was purchased, marking a significant milestone.
Since the inception of his full-time ministry, Pastor Obinna Michael has remained steadfast to his calling. God has consistently blessed The Giftens Church with powerful demonstrations of the gifts of the Spirit and the undiluted Word of God. Through transformative programs like "Night of Beauty" and "Finance Convention," thousands have received spiritual renewal and experienced God's power at work. To this day, the church continues to witness countless healings, miracles, and mind-blowing testimonies.
Driven by a commitment to bring out the gifts in people and empower them to manifest Jesus Christ in every sphere of life, Pastor Obinna Michael has established vital avenues for learning, growth, and discipleship within The Giftens Church. These include The Foundation Class, The Cell System, Grace Speaks Magazine, and The Guiding Voice Daily Devotional. Through these systems, countless believers have deepened their knowledge of Christ, gained spiritual stability, received discipleship, and grown in their accountable walk with God.

Divine Mandate
We have a divine mandate to take the Word of God into the nations of the earth and bring miracles to many by demonstrating the gifts of the Spirit (Psalm 107:20). This is what we have been called to do; it is the very crux of our ministry.

Leadership
Obinna Michael
Pastor Obinna is the founding president of The Giftens Church (Gifted World Inc.), a ministry now spanning more than a decade. He is a man given to prayer. A seasoned prophet. A teacher of the Word whose greatest joy is seeing people come to know the Lord through the preaching of the gospel and the revelation of the unsearchable riches of His Grace [Ephesians 3:8].
God has anointed him to bring the gifts out of people and position them for kingdom impact. Under his leadership, The Giftens Church has become a training ground for believers who carry supernatural power into every sphere of influence.
Ada Michael
Pastor (Dr.) Ada Michael is a devoted wife to Pastor Obinna Michael and a loving mother to Wealth, Pearl, and Light Michael. She embodies the virtuous woman of Proverbs 31 and carries a deep love for prayer and the Word.
As a medical doctor, Pastor Ada brings healing to both body and spirit. She manages and organises medical outreaches through the church's outreach ministry, caring for the community while demonstrating the love of Christ.
Together, they lead The Giftens Church with one vision: to raise a generation that will manifest Jesus Christ everywhere they go.
