Matthew 7:22–23 (KJV)
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
It is a good thing for one to be planted in the house of God. In fact, you will be rewarded with the grace to flourish. It is also a good thing that anyone who is planted in the house of God must be involved in carrying out one function or the other in the house of God.
You should be involved in the work of the ministry. Join a department today and be active in the house of God, but you must never forget this: your involvement or joining a department is not your access card to seeing God. This is one mistake a lot of people make in the house of God.
As important as joining a workforce in the house of God is, you should never forget to KNOW GOD. Don’t hide under the canopy of “I am working in the church.” This is no excuse for finding Jesus and knowing God.
There are many departmental heads or assistants who can’t quote five scriptures of the Bible by heart. This is why they bring a bad name to the church by their lifestyle, and people judge the church by their conduct, saying, “I thought he or she was a worker?”
Take time to pray, listen to the word, fast, and evangelise because your department won't take you to heaven.
Pray in the Spirit now and thank God.
"Old people are distinguished by grandchildren; children take pride in their parents."
Proverbs 17:6 (MSG)

One day at a Sunday service, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome shared how when they started the ministry and the ministry was growing but not with the speed required, a woman who was in the sanitation department had an issue with someone in the department, and when he told them to bring the

Have you ever heard phrases like “Let the sleeping dog lie”? What do you think they are trying to communicate? They are trying to say, “Don't look for my trouble.” This is one of the mindsets of many believers in the church. They avoid trouble.

One of the reasons we pray is to suspend the wicked intentions of men towards us, our family, and our business. People are wicked. We live in a wicked world and in a wicked time where people hardly wish others well.
