Death Has Been Swallowed Up In Victory

Anchor Scripture

Isaiah 25:8 (KJV)

He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken it.

It is very important as a believer to know when a word which was spoken as a prophecy has been fulfilled. A lot of God's people don't know this truth. We see a lot of them still praying for a word of prophecy that was given thousands of years past to come to pass in their lives without knowing that the prophecy has been fulfilled.

An example is this one from our theme scripture. The prophet Isaiah was speaking about the Christ and what he will accomplish when he comes, and one of them is that he will swallow up death.

The question now is this: Has it been done? Did Jesus accomplish this? The answer is yes.

"O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?"

- 1 Corinthians 15:55 (KJV)

"But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen: And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain."

- 1 Corinthians 15:13–14 (KJV)

"I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; AND HAVE THE KEYS OF HELL AND DEATH."

- Revelation 1:18 (KJV)

Child of God, death has been swallowed up in victory. Hallelujah!

Prayer

I am grateful for your word. It has shown to me the victory that Christ has purchased for me with his blood over death, and I thank you, Lord.
