Hate This Evil (Part 2)

You can’t claim to walk in the fear of the Lord and not be distant from some evil. In fact, the level of hate you show towards some evil will reveal the level of the fear of the Lord you have in you.

This fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. So, not to have it is a sign that you are not functioning in the wisdom of God.

The first evil you are to hate as a child of God is PRIDE, and the second is like the first too, and it's ARROGANCE. What is this?

It is that overbearing attitude of superiority that comes from an exaggerated belief in one's own importance, merit, or ability, leading to a disrespectful and condescending manner towards others. It involves showing an offensive attitude of superiority or making presumptuous claims without justification.

When you are overly proud of yourself or your own opinion, then know you are arrogant. Why do people find it difficult to speak to you? Why do you always think your own opinion must be accepted, and if not, then you won't buy into others? Why do you look down on people and refuse to relate with people below your class?

Could this be the reason you can’t worship God in certain places or bring your family because it doesn't befit your standard?
