The Power Of Your Integrity

Anchor Scripture

Psalm 26:1, 11 (KJV)

1 Judge me, O LORD; for I have walked in mine integrity: I have trusted also in the LORD; therefore I shall not slide. 11 But as for me, I will walk in MINE INTEGRITY: redeem me, and be merciful unto me.

The Hebrew word for integrity as used here by David is "tom", and it means completeness, moral innocence, uprightness, etc. It means that as a child of God, there will come a time when your integrity or your moral innocence will be the only key to your elevation in life.

I know that Christ gave us and became for us integrity, but this one is legal. There should be the vital side of your own integrity, i.e., the one you work out just because Christ has worked some in you.

This English word integrity carries its root from the Latin word integer, from which you get the word integral. It is something you can’t break, something you shouldn't break no matter the condition.

What is your integrity like when it comes to your relationship with the opposite sex? What is your integrity when it comes to money? What is your integrity like when it comes to timekeeping or punctuality? What about prayers or the reading of the word? What about your attendance at church activities and programmes?

Your integrity is your life. This is who you are, and this is being real to yourself. Instead of always falling, why don't you ask him for the grace to stand and keep standing?

Prayer

I will praise you, my Father, for your wonderful works which you have wrought in me, teaching me to always stand and to trust in you and not in the arm of flesh. Thank you, Father.
