Hebrews 12:1–2 (KJV)
1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, 2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
The believer in Christ is surrounded. You may ask, but by whom? According to our theme scripture, we are surrounded by a cloud of great witnesses.
Who are these cloud of witnesses? They are the men and women who have run this race before us but who conquered and have gone home to be with the Lord. They also consist of the numerous angels who are also watching us from heaven's stand.
They are observing from heaven to see how we run our race and finish well, and they are there to encourage you and me. They know we are faced with a lot of problems and life's challenges ranging from sickness, diseases, debts, pains, heartbreaks, failure, etc., but they are saying this: “Don’t give up.” But how do I achieve this, you may ask?
The answer is in verse 2. It says, “Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.”
Do you know what this means? The Amplified version puts it this way:
"Looking away [from all that will distract] to Jesus."
- Hebrews 12:2 (AMPC)
Take your eyes away from that pain and sickness and put it on Jesus, and you will notice that the pain is no more. Rejoice.
Lord, I thank you for this truth, for the power in it to bring freedom to my life. Thank you, Father.
"Sound thinking makes for gracious living, but liars walk a rough road."
Proverbs 13:15 (MSG)

Ministry is a testing ground. It is a testing ground for everyone who intends from the heart to serve Jesus. The ministry will test everybody. No one will be exempted from the test of ministry.

Envy and strife are two bad fruits, and their equation is always terrible. Any organisation or family where they are permitted, they will wreak havoc.

It is a good thing for one to be planted in the house of God. In fact, you will be rewarded with the grace to flourish. It is also a good thing that anyone who is planted in the house of God must be involved in carrying out one function or the other in the house of God.
