John 11:26 (KJV)
...and whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?
It is only in ministry that a man can be following or serving you for years and yet never believe in you. This is heavy and painful. I always encourage anyone who will go into ministry to brace up because he or she will also face this kind of spirit at one stage or another in his ministry.
How can you be bold enough to be following a man for so long and yet not believe him?
Ministry is deep, and the hearts of men are deep because believing is done with the heart. You don’t seem to catch immediately that the person doesn't believe in you.
So, how do I know a person doesn't believe in me or my ministry? When he doesn’t make reference to your words or messages. When he or she doesn’t invite people to your meetings. When he or she doesn’t participate in ministry activities. When he or she doesn’t give towards it. When he or she can't defend you behind your back but believes every rumour about you. When he or she doesn’t speak well of your person. When he or she can't find himself or herself praying for you. When they doubt the vision or don’t believe in it.
Be wise.
Lord, I thank you for opening my eyes to this truth about ministry, and I ask that you help me to sail through. Amen.
"A quiet rebuke to a person of good sense does more than a whack on the head of a fool."
Proverbs 17:10 (MSG)

I know someone who turned his back on me and the ministry simply because he couldn't get the help or support he wanted at that time from me, and I was glad it happened because it helped me to know who he really was.

The believer in Christ is surrounded. You may ask, but by whom? According to our theme scripture, we are surrounded by a cloud of great witnesses.

Ministry is a testing ground. It is a testing ground for everyone who intends from the heart to serve Jesus. The ministry will test everybody. No one will be exempted from the test of ministry.
